Hi, Sounds like your situation with dad is exactly the same as mine with my mother (except that I was physically and emotionally abused by her as well). It is very strange how we always want to please our parents and look up to them, as though everything they do is perfect and they know best? Why is...

Hi, I might have another suggestion which I only gathered enough courage today for.... never been attempted before.... well, we're known for not being very successful at doing this.... but you can always try. Today at 2pm I screamed out loud, as loud as I ever did in my entire life and as loud as I ...

Hi Neats, I can certainly relate to what you are going through, cause I've dated some pretty pushy guys too and I know how you feel, in terms of not wanting to lose them, but at the same time you want to voice your feelings. And rightly so, he did know that you were uncomfortable with going further,...

I just wanted to say that your suggestion saved my head today (but not my ears though  ). I already screamed my lungs out today, but here's a little sample: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR...

Victory (for now)!!!! Today I was just about to SI, but instead I screamed my lungs out as loud as I ever did before (and believe me, my voice carries very well, considering I'm a high soprano, classically trained vocalist!).... Then I ran into my room, and even before I could get depressed or even ...

Hi Badgirl! Thanks for your words of wisdom. I know what you mean about pushing yourself to go out when you feel like being alone, I used to do that all the time, but then again I seemed to find that being with other people doesn't necessarily always help bring you out of depression. I feel honestly...

Hi Amy, It's just one of those things, I don't do it intentionally, we are always together, so we go through everything together. He certainly tries to do everything he can, it's me who pushes him away every time and I always seem to want him to behave differently to what he's doing at a time. I am ...

I know what you mean

Hi! Even though I don't live alone, I seem to isolate myself a lot from my partner. I seem to totally immerse myself in my distractions, whether I'm on the computer, playing games, listening to music. I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing - I do believe that isolation of this kind could be seen...

I'm new - hurting loved ones

My biggest problem seems to be in hurting my partner. It hurts a lot more seeing him helpless watching me hurt myself. I know he wants to help too, but doesn't seem to do what I want him to do...

Anyone got any suggestions?
:shocked!:
